Project: Russia and Pakistan: Approaches to Security and Development in South Asia
Central to the project are the current Russia-Pakistan relations, as well as prospects for their enhancement amid new conditions. The project seeks to offer practical recommendations that would build on the untapped potential of Russia-Pakistan relations—in particular, trade and economic cooperation. Besides, the project details on the positions of Russia and Pakistan concerning issues of regional security in South Asia. Regional tensions in the region must be subject of comprehensive research in terms of possible escalation risks and in terms of looking for ways to boost confidence between the countries.
The aim of the project is to analyze the bilateral relations between Russia and Pakistan and prospects for their development in the context of regional dynamics in South Asia.
