On June 20, 2023, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) together with the Synergia Foundation (Bangalore, India) held a workshop on Russian-Indian relations in the new conditions, including their economic, technological and strategic aspects. This event was the second joint workshop between RIAC and the Synergia Foundation.

The discussion focused on the following issues: the prospects for expanding bilateral investment cooperation, opportunities and limitations for working on joint projects in high-tech industries, and strategic aspects of interaction between Russia and India in the Indo-Pacific region.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Academic Director, and Tobby Simon, Founder and President of Synergia Foundation, addressed the participants of the workshop with welcoming remarks.

The Russian side was represented at the event by Lydia Kulik, Head of India Studies, SKOLKOVO Institute of Emerging Markets, Research Fellow, Center for Indian Studies, RAS Institute of Oriental Studies; Ivan Danilin, Head of the Department of Science and Innovation at RAS IMEMO; and Alexey Kupriyanov, Head of the Group on South Asia and Indian Ocean at RAS IMEMO. The Indian side was represented by Tobby Simon, Founder and President of Synergia Foundation; Kapil Mohan, Deputy Director-General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency; and Major General (retired) Paul Naidu.
