Project: Institionalisation in Greater Eurasia: Directions of Bilateral and Multilateral Cooperation in the Region
The project is aimed at exploring capabilities of multilateral institutions to structure Greater Eurasia and their potential to do so. The project focuses on promising directions of the development of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as obstacles to the integration process. Apart from this, particular attention is paid to development objectives of such security institutions in Eurasia, as the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Multilateral platforms, therefore, are seen as institutional framework of the Greater Eurasian Partnership and the Eurasian security architecture.
Moreover, the project aims to involve the expert community of member states of the aforementioned multilateral platforms in discussing cooperation problems, as well as to promote the activities of international institutions of which Russia is part of in these countries.
