The largest artificial intelligence (AI) forum in Russia — the OpenTalks.AI 2.0 conference — took place in Moscow from the 7th and 9th of February. Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) co-organized the session “Artificial Intelligence and Global Security” at the event.

The discussion was held under the framework of “the Impact of Artificial Intelligence Technologies on International Relations and Global Security” and the “Ethical use of Artificial Intelligence to Avoid a New Arms Race.”

The session was attended by RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov; Chairman of the Board of Directors of IQ One Ulvi Kasimov; member of the Board of Directors of Yandex and founder of Hiccup, Esther Dyson; Ambassador of Singularity University in Russia Eugeny Kuznetsov and the chief operating officer of the company GoodAI Olga Afanasyeva. The session was moderated by RIAC program Director Ivan Timofeev.
