It might sound counterintuitive, but the only plausible way for Russia to get back to Europe today goes through Asia. If Moscow cannot engage EU in a peer dialogue alone or through EAEU, it has to join a more powerful coalition, which will have more leverage in dealing with Brussels. In other words, the concept of Greater Europe should become and is already becoming for Russia a part of a larger Greater Eurasia concept.
