Israel’s Blessing of President Trump and America

In looking back on Donald Trump’s rise to power, there is something much larger at work here that transcends human understanding.

History can point to one single factor for Trump’s miraculous ability to withstand multiple blows from numerous adversaries in the political ring while blindly throwing and landing knockout punches with little to no previous political training to legitimize his entry into the arena.

So, what is the common thread to the most hated man on the planet emerging victorious when one naturally would have collapsed under insurmountable affliction from a thousand cuts of accusations? The Democrat Party’s vehemence portraying an unhinged racist with an aiding and abetting news media oversubscribing a crucifixion by impeachment has been relentless.

How does anyone explain the takedown of the many qualified Republican contenders in the 2016 GOP primaries and the ensuing laughter from pundits uttering this buffoon had a zero chance to become president of the United States of America. In coming on the right flank had the National Review publishing a special issue featuring a blistering editorial that labeled Trump as a threat to conservatism, as well as a rendition of essays by 22 prominent conservative ‘Never Trumpers’ claiming he would be a menace to America and he would trample conservatism on behalf of populism as needless and crude as Donald himself.

Then came the biggest blow with the slaying of the Clinton dynasty. Hilary’s coronation party was filled with wailing and disbelief. How could the unimaginable happen after she disposed of Bernie in the rigged primaries, Bill Clinton’s meeting with the DOJ prior to the FBI ruling out charges against Hillary who knowingly destroyed 33,000 emails after being subpoenaed to hand them over, exposing Trump in the Access Hollywood tapes bragging about groping women, and the Clinton Foundations funding of the fake Steele Dossier on Trump’s activities with Russia.

Then, one by one, a hive of Trump antagonists has fallen in shame or worst. Former disgraced FBI Director James Comey is now a lonely man after being found to have lied and leaked information leading to the Special Counsel being formed to investigate Russian collusion. There is the late John McCain’s tarnished reputation when it was discovered he was responsible for passing on the DNC funded Steele dossier from a CIA operative to the FBI and the in-your-face thumbs down to Trump’s repeal of Obamacare. Then there is Michael Avenatti’s sudden arrest and precipitous fall after attempting to bring down Trump in a case stemming from alleged hush-money paid to an adult film actress. The flamboyant lawyer now faces decades behind bars for extortion and embezzlement. Busy bees eventually get stung.

Finally, Democrats and their media allies have been fixated since election night of 2016 on the illusion that Trump colluded with Russia to win the election. After an exhaustive investigation by the Special Counsel, filled with 2,800 subpoenas, more than 500 witnesses, millions of pages of documents, and $25 million wasted in taxpayer dollars, there was found to be no collusion and no obstruction resulting in a complete exoneration of President Trump and the entire Trump campaign.

The media pile on that ensued during the investigation would have knocked the most hardened political veterans onto the canvas. The mainstream media abandoned all journalistic standards and repeatedly failed the American people by accepting wild speculation as fact and smearing calls for due process rather than defending the basic principles of fairness and impartiality. The New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN, and MSNBC wrote a combined 8,507 articles citing Robert Mueller’s investigation since May 2017—an average of nearly 13 articles every single day.

Democrats, much of the media, and former Obama Administration officials peddled one of the greatest lies in American political history in a failed attempt to reverse the election of a president they simply hate. The real threat to our democracy was hiding in plain sight all along.

Following the results of the Mueller Report, Trump was still standing after taking so many blows. He said, “I love this country as much as I can love anything: my family, my country, my God. What they did, it was a false narrative. We can never let this happen to another President again.”

Still wondering what the common thread to a rash and politically incorrect man never elected to even the local school board, yet he had the ability to corner the evangelical vote while having difficulty reciting a single bible verse or peeling off enough democrats and independents in middle America to pull off the biggest upset victory in modern history? This followed by a tidal wave of backlash from all political stripes unwilling to accept defeat that somehow culminated in the most open and unbashful conspiracy at the highest echelons in the intelligence agencies to leak, lie, and destroy the duly elected President of the United States of America and leader of the free world.

The one-word answer is “Israel". A friend of Israel is a friend of God. The opposition cannot overcome or cut this thread of unity. History has demonstrated time and time again that God’s chosen vessels can be the most unexpected that completely confounds all conventional wisdom. God loves an underdog.

A couple of examples that will lend credence to this truth. In the year 1063 BC. the Philistines gathered their forces for war and assembled at Sokoh in Judah while the Israelites assembled and camped in the Valley of Elah and drew up their battle line to meet the Philistines.

A champion on the battlefield named Goliath came out of the Philistine camp to call upon the Israelis to send out their best soldier to fight in a one-on-one challenge winner take all. Then the Philistine said, “This day I defy the armies of Israel! Give me a man and let us fight each other.”

Now the Israelites had been saying, “Do you see how this man keeps coming out? He comes out to defy Israel. He has defied the armies of the living God.

A shepherd boy named David had no battlefield experience and zero chance in the nature of killing a warrior from his youth in hand to hand combat. David called out to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, I’ll strike you down and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel”.

David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet Goliath. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face down on the ground. David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.

When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead; they turned and ran. Then the men of Israel and Judah surged forward with a shout and pursued the Philistines. Their dead were strewn along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron. David, a most unexpected young man with no military training or political experience became King of Israel.

Fast forward in time to 1967. In the years leading up to the Six Day War, many Arab leaders had ramped up their anti-Semantic rhetoric towards the Jewish nation. The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise summed up the pretext to war by stating, “A combination of bellicose Arab rhetoric, threatening behavior and, ultimately, an act of war left Israel no choice but pre-emptive action. To do this successfully, Israel needed the element of surprise. Had it waited for an Arab invasion, Israel would have been at a potentially catastrophic disadvantage.” With these threats and concrete evidence of Arab aggression, Israel had no choice but to strike these nations first.

After only six days, a little sliver of a country at a mere 9.3 miles wide at the narrowest point defeated three opposing countries with established and supported militaries from neighboring Arab nations in what one can only conclude was an unexpected and lopsided victory beyond natural convention when facing insurmountable odds. Israel, alone, defeated Egypt, Syria, and Jordan; capturing the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Golan Heights, and East Jerusalem. Because Israel had captured these territories in a defensive war, and the territories were governed by the belligerents, Israel had the international right to station military personnel in the territories to ensure future security.

In bringing this full circle in the present day, President Trump did what previous American presidents had promised but failed to deliver in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Trump clearly pointed out that he judged this course of action to be in the best interest of the United States of America and asserted God’s blessing upon the US America and Israel during his speech.

Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphatically responded to the declaration, “Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital for 3000 years. …So, it’s rare to be able to speak of new and genuine milestones in the glorious history of this city, yet the pronouncement by President Trump is such an occasion.”

Jerusalem, the city of God, meaning “king” (jeru) of “peace” (shalom) has been anything but a city of peace. It has been rebuilt and destroyed dozens of times, and of all the cities in the world, it is believed to be the city where the most wars have been fought. It has been destroyed several times, attacked 52 times, besieged 23 times, and captured and recaptured at least 44 times.

It is likely with great joy in the sight of God that the city referenced in scriptures for its past and the future ahead was recognized by President Trump. In his speech, Trump would direct us to claim a bright future as we rethink old assumptions and open our hearts and minds to possibilities. He asked leaders in the region – political and religious to join in the noble quest for lasting peace in Jerusalem.

It was no coincident that on the same day the Mueller Report exonerated Trump of colluding with Russia that the president recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights. The president affirmed that he was taking historic action to promote Israel’s ability to defend itself and to have a very powerful and strong national security, which Israel is entitled to have.

Recognizing Golan Heights as a part of the State of Israel is crucial to securing its future—especially protection from aggressive acts by Iran and terrorist groups such as Hezbollah. America sent a message that any future peace agreement in the Middle East must account for Israel’s need to protect itself—no exceptions.

Prime Minister Netanyahu responded, “Mr. President, over the years, Israel has been blessed to have many friends who sat in the Oval Office, but Israel has never had a better friend than you.”

Senator Lindsay Graham wrote in The Wall Street Journal that the decision is strategically and morally important, “Mr. Trump has been one of the most effective American leaders in strengthening the country’s relationship with Israel. His decision to recognize the Golan Heights as part of Israel should prove yet another major, lasting achievement for his administration.”

Whether it is tax cuts putting more money in American’s pockets, a red-hot economy breaking records on the stock market and creating the most employment in America’s history, or mitigating MS-13, ISIS and the nuclear threat from Iran or on the Korean Peninsula, President Donald Trump’s success is derided in every conceivable obscure fashion.

Whether domestic or foreign, there is a concerted effort to diminish America from within and abroad. From Inauguration Day 2017 through the delivery of the Special Counsel’s report, the ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscasts produced an unprecedented combined 2,284 minutes of ‘collusion’ coverage. The saga of the Mueller Report will continue as no amount of evidence to the contrary will keep the Democrats from continuing investigations.

In demonstrating the most egregious international partisanship, one has to only look to the voting record of the UN General Assembly that has repeatedly rejected U.S.-led resolutions to condemned terrorism by Hamas and Hezbollah but has passed more than 700 resolutions critical of Israel in recent years.

In a rare speech to Congress in 2015, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu explained the valued relationship that Israel has with the US despite America’s shortcomings to the relationship during the Obama presidency. With Donald Trump not yet in the White House, and no opposing American leader in the Republican Party to effectively convey the message, it took the Netanyahu’s controversial speech to not only explain the folly in agreeing to Iran’s continued nuclear program but just as importantly expose the absence of a solid U.S. foreign policy doctrine and the inept leadership by Obama to counter to rise of state-sponsored strategies threatening the free world.

This diminishing fear of American reprisal of unchallenged aggression throughout Obama’s tenure is very clear whether it be Putin’s land grab in Ukraine, Assad’s slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Syrians, the mishandling of America’s closest Arab ally when the Muslim Brotherhood took control in Egypt, the vacuum left open in the Libyan conflict that resulted in the murder of American Embassy staff, and the rise of ISIS throughout the Middle East.

During the speech, Netanyahu had asked the United States to stand with Israel, “because you know that the story of Israel is not only the story of the Jewish people but of the human spirit that refuses again and again to succumb to history's horrors.” He referred to Moses leading the Jews out of slavery to the Promised Land, “Moses gave his speech that has strengthened the Jewish people in their resolve for thousands of years. Be strong and resolute, neither fear nor dread them." The Prime Minister eloquently wrapped up the speech to all Americans by stating, “My friends, may Israel and America always stand together, strong and resolute. May we neither fear nor dread the challenges ahead. May we face the future with confidence, strength and hope.”

American voters, against all odds of dismantling the established political oligarchy in Washington attempting to thwart a Trump presidency, clamored for a new sheriff in town. They yearned for a time and place where promise vanquishes fear and faith overshadows a less than perfect man. Americans feared the tenets of socialism where the powerful become rich through the rules of law; rather than the promise of capitalism where the people become wealthy through the rule of hard work.

It was festering wrath against the politicians in both parties, and it had now come to the realization of America in moral, social, and economic decline and the idea of a nation born again that fundamentally struck a chord with the common folk. It became clear that Americans found themselves electing the most unlikely and unsuspected president to this day that defies the establishment and media cohorts seeking to take down the president who is shrouded in the blessings of God’s chosen nation.

If you find the Israeli blessing farfetched, just ask how the tiny nation of Israel remains stronger than ever in the midst of enemies on all sides of its borders and the anti-semitic hatred found near and far around the world. Ask why the empires of the Babylonians, Romans, and Ottomans had fallen in pursuing the destruction of the Jewish nation yet Israel remains as strong as ever. Finally, ask yourself why America remains the most powerful nation in the world. One must look no closer than its committed relationship to the Jewish nation.

One must only look at the strain that the previous administration put on Israel to see how quickly the world sinks into chaos as competing countries and extremism extend their destructive tentacles while America implodes economically and socially; yet how quickly America rises to prosperity and power while caliphates and nemeses retract as America’s relationship with Israel is rekindled.

Should Russia, China, and Iran decide to take a run at America, the rise and fall of all hinges on the bond with Israel?
