Served at the USSR/Russia Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and was posted on a number of overseas diplomatic missions. Director of the MFA Department of Northern America. Russian Ambassador to Italy.
Participated in the preparation works for the G8 summit in Genoa in 2001, the Russia-NATO summit in Pratica di Mare in 2002 and the Russia-EU summit in Rome in 2003.
Served as Deputy Secretary of the RF Security Council, supervising the international and economic security portfolio.
Since 2006, Deputy Director General for International Affairs of Rosatom State Company.
RF state counselor, 1st class.
Recipient of Russian and foreign state awards.
