Danish-Russian Interfaces: the Arctic and The Baltic Sea Region

While the Arctic is currently undergoing a significant transformation as a result of climate change and global political processes, remains a region of low tension in Russia-West relations, the Baltic Sea region is of a more complex nature. To address the evolving challenges and overcome the differences in perceptions of the Arctic, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Russia Federation need to elaborate on the common understandings of the Baltic and Arctic security architecture.

A joint report by the Russian International Affairs Council and the Danish Foreign Policy Society provides an analysis of shared challenges and interests between the Kingdom of Denmark and the Russian Federation in the Arctic and around the Baltic Sea. The publication aims to identify areas of common ground between the two sides in order to broaden cooperation and to address the arising challenges in both regions.
