Dr. Abdolrasool Divsallar co-Leads the Regional Security Initiative at the Middle East Directions Programme of the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute (EUI). He is also an Adjunct Professor of Middle Eastern Studies at the Graduate School of Universita’ Cattolica (ASERI), teaching courses on ‘Regional disorder in the Persian Gulf’ and ‘Iranian strategic thinking.’ Previously, he was a Policy Leader Fellow at the School of Transnational Governance at the EUI and a senior fellow at the Institute for Middle East Strategic Studies in Tehran. His main research interests include Iran’s military-strategic thinking, Russia-Iran relations, comparative threat perception, and regional order. He twitts @Divsallar
