Graduated from the Faculty of Control and Applied Mathematics of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. Holds a PhD degree in Economics.

Worked as head of the “Real Sector” research section at the Institute for the Economy in Transition, at the Russian-European Centre for Economic Policy (RECEP); was Vice-Rector of Academic Research and Provost for Research at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Has authored several academic papers and publications.

Academic focus: foreign trade and global market activities, macroeconomics, industrial organization, and public sector economy.
