Friend of President el Sisi and prominent opinion-maker Osama Kamal of the popular Cairo program, 360, interviewed Dr. Jiri Valenta on January 22, 2016. They covered a range of subjects including the Iran nuclear deal, the war in Syria and Russia’s intervention, the war against ISIS, and Valenta’s proposal that President el Sisi becomes America’s strategic ally and broker in mediating the Russo-Turkish conflict. After the interview, President el Sisi called Kamal, at the station.

Here is the u-tube url. Kamal’s short introduction is in Arabic but the interview itself is in English.

On the Threat of Islamic Fascism and New Attack on Egypt

This is what we wrote in our July 4, 2015 “Open Letter to Donald Trump”:

“Not New York, but Egypt´s Sinai just endured a deadly attack on five military units that killed seventeen people.  These were Sunni terrorists helped by Hamas, Palestine´s terrorist organization.  Please ask our president and Hillary why they supported former Muslim Brotherhood leader Morsi. Don´t they remember that Adolf Hitler also came to power through free elections?”

The letter was published on the Member Wall of the Council on Foreign Relations, N.Y., President, Richard Haass,   as well as at Russia’s principle Ministry of Foreign Affairs think tank, Andrey Kortunov, Director General, Jiri and Leni Friedman Valenta’s website, jvlv.net, and Linkedin.   Someone also posted it at the Command Center of the Tea Party.

Once again we ask the same question as on July 4th.  Why did our leaders support the Muslim Brotherhood’s Morsi?  Egypt was punished by America when it should have been applauded.  Nor has our president yet acknowledged that President el Sisi must and should be our strategic ally.

Finally, we acknowledge that in this era of Christian-phobia, Judeo-phobia and Islam-phobia, el Sisi has become the prophet of reforming the Islamic religion, uniquely supporting Egypt's Christians and closing radical mosques.  No wonder colunnist George Will, the man we respect and most of the time agree with, called el Sisi "the most plausible candidate" for  2016's Nobel Prize.

We are grateful to Mr. Kamal’s chief assistant,  Somaia Ibrehim,  for her research.
