JVLV: AN OPEN LETTER TO BERNIE SANDERS: MENSHEVIK VS BOLSHEVIK, Jiri and Leni Friedman Valenta, 11-13-15

Bernie! This is an open letter from two accomplished authors.  JVLV applauds your honesty about your democratic socialism and your critique, similar to Trump's and Cruz's, of the Washington Cartel.  But your debate strategy was a disappointment to us.   The ISIS attack on Paris is a game-changer.  You need to take off your  gloves and stop the Bolshevik-like adversary, Hillary,  threatening to plunge our republic into a new, protracted, Nixonian, Watergate-like agony.

Unless you are seeking to be her Vice President, you cannot ignore her Servergate and Benghazi-gate, and all the other "gates."  You must examine what the late, Pulitzer Prize-winning NYT journalist William Safire called her congenital, “blizzard of lies!”  The public is not aware of who she is.  You must make them aware!  Take the gloves off, Bernie! You’re fighting someone who must now engage in repeated attempts to gain power  so as to continually conceal her wrong-doing. 

Peaceful Revolution Challenges the Washington Cartel

First, we fear our own political system is starting to look a little bit like Russia’s kleptocratic one.  No wonder voter outrage has turned all the talking heads on their own heads like old Father Williams in Alice and Wonderland. You surely know what that rage is about.  To Ted Cruz it’s the rule of the “Washington Cartel” –the legions of legislators, consultants, opinion-makers, hired publicists, think tanks, super PACs and crony capitalists, so injurious to our democratic system. To independent veteran of American politics, Jesse Ventura, it’s the “dictatorship of two parties.”

Shocked and discombobulated, the Washington cartel or two-party dictatorship simply doesn’t understand why the coronation of establishment  candidates hand-picked by the ruling class is failing. But we understand it, don’t we, Bernie? Americans want to take back their government; the one the founding fathers designed.

Both you and Republican Ted Cruz are echoing Teddy Roosevelt that the big banks should be broken up. Both you and present GOP front runner Donald, deserve kudos for casting off the support of the big money bigshots; hedge funds and super PACS. Whereas you are getting many small contributions, Trump has his own money. Hillary, on the other hand, is the establishment candidate, with 31 senate endorsements and 750 corporations behind her, all expecting, as Donald well knows, to be rewarded for their support.

We took you at your word when you said you want to lead a “political revolution” by millions of Americans who are prepared to stand up against billionaires and fight back.” Like Donald, who seeks “to make America great again,” you are speaking peaceful revolution, the longing for a Washington Spring. That is why you, a social democrat, must defeat Bolshevik-like Hillary.

Why “Bolshevik?” We take seriously the gaffe of   Paul Begala an experienced opinion-maker and Clinton loyalist and strategist.   “The Bolsheviks!” That was what he called Hillary and her White House team under Bill Clinton. Naturally, Hillary is not a card-carrying member of a defunct Leninist party. We are dealing in analogies. Not well known, however, is that she was a student, like Obama, of the radical neo-Bolshevik, community organizer, the late Saul Alinsky. Obama never met him, but Hillary did her Wellesley thesis on him expounding on his methods in organizing the left. Her long-hidden thesis was entitled, “There is only the Fight … An Analysis of the Alinsky Model.”  Thereafter they conferred for several years.

Obama too young to know Alinsky, trained at the Alinsky-founded Industrial Areas Foundation in Chicago, likewise applying the Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” to aid his ascendancy. Alinsky’s strategy is bed rocked in the Leninist notion “The end justifies the means."

”Like Lenin, Alinsky believed the objectives of the left should be stated in moral terms. Whereas Lenin proclaimed land and bread for the masses, Alinsky spoke of social justice, equality and welfare. He also believed in burdening the government with huge debt obligations it couldn’t meet in the making of peaceful revolution. Studying Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” tactics, his writing emerge as a sort of a cross between Lenin and Italian Marxist thinker Antonio Gramsci, adjusted to American specificity.

Bernie, you have a rough road ahead, but to become the Democratic Party’s candidate. You first need to know who you are up against, why she must be defeated, and then to follow our recommendations.

First, Explain! You are not a “Communist/Socialist Maniac”

Unlike Donald, who called you a “Communist/socialist maniac, Ted Cruz praised your honesty for admitting you are a democratic socialist. Ted is right. He understands what you are, but most of the American people, do not. Let us help. 

In 1903, there was a split in the Russian Socialist Democratic Labor Party between the Mensheviks of Julius Martov and the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin. The Mensheviks were Marxist idealists like you, relying on small working class contributions. Embracing parliamentarian, democratic structures and peaceful revolution, their motto was “ballots not bullets.” To Lenin’s Bolsheviks, however, any tactics, including lies, deception, camouflage, robbery, and even murder were acceptable to gain power –“bullets not ballots.” Exiled in Switzerland, they had no problem accepting money even from Russia’s WWI enemy, Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany

Through a shady Russian intermediary, Israel Gelfand or Helphand, known as “Parvus, the Kaiser’s general staff provided Lenin and his Bolshevik team, secret passage in a sealed train through Germany to St. Petersburg. There, to everyone’s surprise, they took power, calling their coup a “Bolshevik Revolution.”

As you know Bernie, the Mensheviks, were the forbears of the social democrats, and decades later the “Eurocommunists.” 1 But you have not explained that the social democrats in Western Europe after WWII were among America’s best allies, helping to defend Western Europe from brutal Soviet “panzerkommunism” [enforced by tanks].  So now that we know what you really are, let us focus on your Bolshevik-like rival, Hillary, and her speckled career on her path to ultimate power.

Reread William Safire’s Article, “Blizzard of Lies”

In his January 8, 1996 article, Blizzard of Lies,  William Safire, known for going after his former boss, Republican Richard Nixon, went after Democrat Hillary.

Cattle Futures: He first turned to her 1978-79 feat of turning $1000 into $100,000 on cattle futures. Wrote Safire, Hillary lied, “to turn aside accusations that as the Governor of Arkansas wife she profited corruptly, her account being run by a lawyer for state poultry interests through a disreputable broker.” She thus avoided “paying taxes on what some think amounted to a $100,000 [disguised] bribe.” Safire doesn’t say that in 1994, a paper for the Journal of Economics and Finance investigated the odds of anyone gaining a hundred-fold return in cattle futures -- at best 1 in 31 trillion.

Whitewater-gate: Then in 1979 came the “Whitewater” and “Castle Grand” land deals managed by Hillary’s Rose Law Firm. The tangled Whitewater web is too complex to here explain, but you should read about it.  As the prosecutors investigated their fraudulent doings, a Damocles sword hung over lawyer Hillary, and her two Rose Law Firm partners, special friend, Vincent Foster, and Webb Hubbel.  But well connected Hillary managed to stave off the long arm of the law as vital records could not be located. Sound familiar?  To be continued.

Bills Bimbos: Meanwhile there were Bill’s numerous amours, including Gennifer Flowers and some ladies who even charged assault. All this led to the brilliant Hillary lie during a crucial Sixty Minutes interview in the 1992 presidential campaign: “… Flowers was simply a bimbo.” Yes, Hillary’s artful performance saved Bill’s candidacy. Ever since then, Hillary has become known for her smooth performances ranging from rage to tears to smiles to hysterical laughs. Naturally the bimbo cover-ups would continue after the Clinton’s gained the White House.

Bernie, Recall How “The Bolsheviks” were Running Bill’s White House

Travelgate: The first White House scandal of note was the abuse of Presidential power known as Travelgate.  As Safire wrote, it “elicited another series of lies” Here he discusses how she “induced a White House lawyer to assert flatly to investigators” that Hillary did not order the firing of White House travel aides, or that she then had the FBI and Justice Department harass them “to justify patronage replacement by Mrs. Clinton's cronies.”

Then to Safire’s amazement, “The career of the lawyer who transmitted Hillary's lie to authorities” fell into jeopardy!” Of course! After all, Hillary had to ensure she was not “identified,” in Safire’s words, “as a vindictive political power player who used the F.B.I. to ruin the lives of people standing in the way of juicy patronage.”

Now, Bernie,  read what former FBI agent Gary Aldrich wrote in in his book, “Unlimited Access: An FBI Agent inside the Clinton White House, Hillary used “security agencies as a hammer to attack and punish those who stood in her way” [those she blacklisted]. He goes even further describing how a comprehensive security system was dismantled so that the Clintons could bring trusted allies into the White House such as would ordinarily have been excluded because of their ethical or legal problems.

Media Stooges: Bernie, we also want you to be aware that Bill and Hillary had yet another White House network, her media proxies. Of course you know George Stephanopoulis, who interviewed you. A member of Hillary’s former White House Staff-turned ABC anchor of Good Morning America- he is one example of the Clintons’ planting of progressive supporters in the Washington Cartel media. Sleeper George, who maintained he had his own disagreements with the Clintons, showed his real colors when Aldrich published his revealing anti-Clinton book and was invited to appear on TV networks. Now George went into action, pressuring three networks to cancel Aldrich’s appearances. Nor is George the only official under Bill and Barack who got into journalism when they retired from government. This may partly explain the left wing biases in the media against the Republican Party,

Bernie, you profess to be a supporter of simple Americans, and we believe you. Consider then the unfortunate White House usher, Christopher Emery. As Ronald Kessler, author of The First Family Detail: Secret Service Agents Reveal the Hidden Lives of the Presidents, revealed, Mr. Emery, a good man, was mercilessly fired since he did not follow what the Bolsheviks called “democratic centralism” i.e. iron discipline. He dared to contact former First Lady Barbara Bush, who had treated him with respect before the Clintons occupied the White house.

Vince Foster’s Death: Meanwhile, the previous lies about Whitewater were still haunting Hillary. To prevent more discovery she brought with her to Washington two of her former Rose Law Firm partners. One was Vincent Foster, to some too close to Hillary.   He became White House Deputy Counsel. The other, Webb Hubbel,  became Associate Attorney General. Neither really served the republic. They were there to be watchdogs and protect Hillary. And then came a shocking act of violence. Foster was found dead. Suicide?

Supposedly. But in “Vince Foster’s Can of Worms,” Safire questioned this conclusion. The discovery that Rose Law Firm papers had been spirited out of Foster’s office “in the dead of night” before police arrived, raised serious questions about the cause of death. Nor did a suicide note, likely forged, relieve the smell of fish from the forensics. In “Foster’s Ghost,” Safire wrote, “We subsequently learned that there was indeed a scandal brewing that involved the Clintons, a go-go banker crony who financed their Whitewater real estate deal and an S. & L. failure, now under criminal investigation, that cost taxpayers $60 million.”

Then, two years after Foster’s death, the missing Rose Law Firm papers and billing records from his office -- all under subpoena -- were mysteriously found in three places; Hillary's closet, the President's secretary's personal files and Hubbell's basement “before his felony conviction.” These documents magically turned up after Hillary’s subpoena expired. Hillary’s closet would yet reappear as a convenient hiding place for her long-concealed server – this one in the bathroom. But note that Hillary used the same tactics as she would later with Benghazi-gate later; stalling, stone-walling, calling it “old news.” Time to move on; seconded by her apologists in the press.

Bernie, as Judicial Watch found out, there exists a folder entitled “Hillary Rodham Clinton/Webster L. Hubble draft indictment.” Doesn’t it bother you that Hillary’s law partner, Hubbel, ended up in jail, but a drafted indictment of Hillary was not executed?   Or that Hillary ordered the overturn of an agreement to allow the Justice Department to examine the dead man’s files?”  Do you not feel outrage at this injustice?

Illegal Contributions:  Finally, you should know the Clintons have a history of illegal contributions to their presidential campaigns. By 1992 and 1996 Bill and Hillary had really figured out how to use Bill’s public office to support his reelection. Two men, James Ready and John Hong, acting on behalf of an Indonesian firm, Lippo Group, later pleaded guilty to making millions of dollars of illegal contributions to Clinton’s campaign, most likely on behalf of Indonesian dictator and human rights violator, President Suharto.

Then it was China’s turn. CEO of Loral Space and Communications, Bernie Schwartz, himself a major donor, convinced Bill to sign a waiver letting Loral use Chinese rockets for U.S. satellites. It is safe to assume that this deal helped to transfer secret missile technology to Beijing, clearly injurious to our national interests. Yet another shady Chinese donor, Johnny Chung, made several dozen trips to the White House. During one of them, reliable Chief of Staff, Maggie Williams, received a $50,000 check in her office, a clear violation of U.S. fundraising laws.

Bernie , Ask What Services The Clinton Foundation Really Performs

In 2008, as Hillary was defeated by another Alinsky disciple, Barack Obama, many on the Clinton blacklist were surely relieved. No retributions! But with legal problems still hanging fire, the relentless Clintons began to plot their return to power. The plan run Hillary for president in 2016. No more illegal contributions! This time they cooked up a perfectly camouflaged vehicle for funding their campaign and for personal enrichment -- a global power center, the Clinton foundation! After all, didn’t Hillary complain they were “penniless” after they left the White House?

The Foundation however, it is an institution somewhat resembling Lenin’s Central Committee in Swiss exile before his return to power. It institutionalized the capability of the Clintons to fund raise through shady intermediaries and foreign governments.  Naturally, many of its operations were enhanced when Obama appointed Clinton Secretary of State.

Peter Schweizer, author of Clinton Cash, concluded that Hillary was the head of the foundation. Bill was, in our view, her handsome and dashing Trotsky. Schweizer also divined that, while serving as Secretary of State, Hillary could now realize far more unsavory things for foreign governments that accrued to the benefit of the Clintons. Among others, Foggy Bottom approved the 610 million dollar sale of Wyoming based uranium mines to Rosatom, Russia’s State Atomic Energy Committee. Intriguingly, the approval came after Hillary pushed for a “reset” of U.S.-Russian relations.

Do not therefore be surprised that a Russian investment bank, helping with the uranium deal, paid Bill $500,000 for a two hour speech in the Russian capital. Again, while Loral space helped to improve the accuracy of Chinese missiles directed against our West Coast, the Rosatum deal helped the Kremlin make nuclear weapons which might one day be directed at us. Total disregard of our national security in both cases! But the fundraising by the Clinton Foundation would help the Clintons’ return to power as would Bill’s numerous highly paid speeches everywhere.  Remember Lenin and Kaiser Wilhelm II? Even working with national enemies is acceptable to a Bolshevik if the ends, as Alinsky agreed,” justify the means.”

Clearly, Hillary was hiding the operations of the Clinton Foundation and the use of the State Department for private gains towards a presidential campaign. But besides all this, Bernie, can we really accept her notion she is the champion of women while her foundation takes donations from countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the UAE, which oppress women?

Bernie, Do Not Ignore Server-gate and Benghazi-gate

Server-gate:  Bernie, watching Hillary’s testimony before Trey Gowdy’s Select House Committee on Benghazi, you surely saw how your committee Democrats railed about numerous investigations past from which Hillary emerged unscathed. But committees past didn’t know that Hillary not only tried to wipe her e-mails, she hid a server --in a most prosaic place--her bathroom closet. Nor was this simply some dumb oversight, but Hillary’s clever way of controlling the server, a kind of “post office,” that processes the mail. And why did she want to control it? The only answer is to circumvent the Freedom of Information Act governing policymakers and to prevent internal snooping.

The vulnerability of the server – some with highly classified information --to hacking by enemy nations is the major issue. But according to impeccable Judge Anthony Napolitano she also broke the law in several ways: “She diverted government documents to her husband’s server; she admitted to putting classified information in a non-classified venue which is the same crime as General Petraeus who had them in a drawer; and she admitted to destroying subpoenaed evidence after she was notified it was under subpoena – that’s obstruction of justice.”

Significantly, as in the case of Whitewater with Hubbel, the pressures of the lawyers and known and unknown supporters, again affected the criminal investigation. The crucial clause casting Clinton as the target of a potential criminal probe, was changed in the New York Times. The “criminal probe” part was deleted.

Benghazi-gate: Nevertheless, good obfuscator Hillary couldn’t this time hide a genuine “smoking gun.” Representative Jim Jordan ® Ohio, revealed that an hour after she made her official statement blaming the video, she e-mailed her daughter, Chelsea, “Two officers were killed today in Benghazi by an al Qaida-like group.” Next day, she made similar statements to Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Quandil, also denying any video involvement.   Later she stood before the coffins of the slain Americans with their parents and blatantly lied they would get the guy who made the video.

Also uncovered was the reason for Hillary’s video-related lies and the appearance by U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice who was asked to prevaricate on five networks with the phony video story about the Video. One e-mail disclosed that the White House was “very worried about the politics” with the forthcoming election several weeks away. Yet again her press proxies came to her rescue. Instead of the lies and stolen election to save Obama’s election, the press mainly reported Hillary’s brave posture – cool, calm and poised under attack. Orwellian, Bernie!

There was yet another important discovery in the e-mail. We learned that ABC’s Stephanopoulos was a secret contributor to the Clinton Foundation. Some objective journalist!

The Clinton’s Parvus:  During the hearing, questions also arose about the e-mails of one Sidney Blumenthal. We learned that Ambassador Chris Stevens did not have direct access to Hillary’s e-mail and telephone number, even when begging for help, while Sid Blumenthal, a shady figure whose services were rejected by the Obama White House, was in constant contact with Hillary by both means. These authors learned progressive Blumenthal, an old Clinton loyalist and veteran of Monica-gate, can be seen as the analogue to the mysterious Parvus, the socialist “fixer“ for Lenin and his Bolsheviks.  While Parvus created a research foundation in Amsterdam to cover some of his tracks, Blumenthal is a crucial and well paid player in the Clinton Foundation.

According to Judge Napolitano, Hillary, seeking to do some nation building in Libya, approved arming anti- Gaddhafi rebels in Libya and anti-Assad rebels in Syria. We still don’t know all the details, but like Parvus, Blumenthal was a fixer in the arms dealing. Sadly some of the arms that she and minions like Blumenthal helped to finance through Qatar may have actually fallen into the hands of the very rebels who killed Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans. “What difference does it make?” Plenty!

Understand and Attack Political Correctness and the Ferguson Effect

Bernie, you must have been thrilled as we were with the transcendent moment in 2008 when America embraced as its leader the first black president in our history. But in 2014 that giant triumph of reason over racism, became the darkness of the Ferguson uproar as a jury found that a young black hoodlum had been justifiably killed in self-defense by an officer he attacked.    

And then came the Ferguson eruption, not only encouraged by false witnesses but also – why hide it – by our president! Disregarding judicial process, he publicly spoke on behalf of the victim, even before the verdict. The uproar soon manifested as newly created non-government groups (NOGs) like “Black Lives Matter” (BLM). We still remember your startled face when they, like the S.A. units in early ‘30’s Germany who disrupted the rallies of social democrats, surrounded you, shouted you down and forced your retreat in your Seattle rally, Why you, the long and dedicated supporter of civil rights?

Earlier they descended on Martin O’Malley, when he found the courage to counter their “Black lives matter” battle cry with the civilized, “All lives matter.” Then he cowardly recanted. But why were these BLMs there in the first place? Okay! We’re not denying all justice to their cause. Blacks have not fared as well as whites in police custody. What we are asking is how come they didn’t go after Hillary? Although they appeared at her rally, they did not assault her. There was civilized discussion; almost a love fest with her. So we wonder-- is she in fact working with them?

Going after the support of various ethnic groups is one of Hillary’s tactics.  What also makes BLM attacks relevant today, however, is that Hillary’s mentor, Saul Alinsky, advocated just this kind of activity – stirring up social discord to obtain control. Above all, notice that Hillary is now the most ardent BLM supporter.

Unfortunately, what our upright FBI Director, James Comey, calls “the Ferguson effect” is metastasizing. The FBI director spoke out in defiance of the Ferguson effect, hindering the work of law enforcement. And now the BLM- inspired revolts have erupted at Missouri and Yale Universities. At Yale they demanded the resignation of the university officials over Halloween costumes – supposedly offensive to minority groups.  More to the point;   Is Hillary’s cultivation of BLMs sheer happenstance? Is she planning to look like the heroine who can control them? To us it’s pure Alinsky.

Seriously Consider Islamo-fascism, Antisemitism and the Immigration Crisis

Bernie, you lived in Israel as a young enthusiast democratic socialist and worked on a kibbutz. You should be proud of it.   I am sure you recall that you were asked a provocative question by a media person; "Do you have  dual citizenship in Israel?"  Did you consider that the question had anti-Semitic undertones? Fortunately most Americans today accept Jews and sympathize with Israel. So in the next debate, why don’t you make your support for Israel and for the struggle against Islamic terrorism more explicit?  With  another terrorist attack in Paris today, Paris is becoming Jerusalem. 

Attack Hillary as a longtime supporter of the Palestinian cause.  Reveal that the mother of her closest aide, Uma Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood. Her father is close to the Muslim World League. In spite of all this, she was in charge of Clinton’s private e-mails, some with classified information about Muslim nations that was shared with our NATO allies.

And why don’t you reconsider your support of the Iran nuke deal, Bernie -- despised by 80% of the American people? This deal directly threatens not just Israel but the United States!  Even some Democratic senators who supported the deal have had second thoughts.

Time to Take off Your Gloves!

Bernie, learn from the mistake of the Mensheviks, who lost, because they didn’t fight the Bolsheviks. Western Social Democrats after WWII in West Germany and Italy won because they did fight!

Do you realize that Saturday Night Live comedian Larry David’s joke about your seeking the vice presidency, was not funny to many of your supporters? They thought you would fight Hillary and super apparatchik Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. Yes, Debbie, chair of the (DNC), and running it in politically correct Bolshevik fashion for her sponsor, Hillary, wants limited debates with scripted, sterilized and carefully controlled discussions. She could care less about you or your democratic socialism and could not even explain  the difference between a socialist and a democrat when asked.

Did you know the very term Political Correctness (thereby PC), much denigrated in this campaign season by Donald, originated with Bolshevik propagandists? In the cause of obtaining power, a proper, “politically correct,” Bolshevik was supposed to adhere to iron party discipline and unswerving loyalty. Saying something had to be said in the right language or “tone.” Speaking the truth could be even more fatal than being caught in a lie. The voters may not know this, but they instinctively applaud your, Donald’s and Ben Carson's candor.

Bernie, do you realize that the country is at a precarious tipping point.  So is our western civilization with a tsunami of uncontrolled immigration from the Middle East. This is the most critical election perhaps in our history. You should make immigration a major issue in the Democratic Party debates,  at a time when the western civilized world is challenged by new totalitarianism for the first time since the 1930's -- Islamo- fascism! 

Let the American people decide in the general election if they want democratic capitalism or democratic socialism. But first you can still try to defeat the politically correct, opponent with Bolshevik leanings. This your patriotic duty. She simply does not have the character to be the most powerful figure in the world.  

How can any American trust anything she tells them? Remember Safire. Calling Hillary a “congenital liar” he stated, “She has good reason to lie; she is in the longtime habit of lying; and she has never been called to account for lying herself or in suborning lying in her aides and friends.”

On 9/25/15 The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberly Stassel concluded “The e-mail summaries dredged up thus far, show that some Hillary aides had dual jobs and that “the Clinton Foundation was the State Department and the State Department was the Clinton Foundation. All one big seamless, Clinton-promoting entity.” Can you imagine the Presidency merging with the Clinton Foundation?

And do you really think that Hillary could be impeached for further wrongdoing if she is elected? Bill was impeached for perjury and obstruction of justice. The Democrats voted down “abuse of power.” Yet he remained in office. Do checks and balances even still exist?

Continuing in Obama’s scandal-ridden path for a third term, wouldn't  her  election be marked not only by lies and propaganda, but America’s further retreat in foreign policy?  Wouldn't it mean continuous divisions of the nation, gridlock in Washington and investigations of her scandals?

Bernie, recall we had such a situation in 1973-74 with Watergate.  This event not only presented a serious crisis to America at home, but resulted in America's retreat abroad.  We simply cannot go through this again.  We are the indispensable power in maintaining world order and that order is under unprecedented attack. 

Already we hear voices from Moscow who foresee a period of instability.  Particularly after the shooting down of the Russian plane, they would feel more comfortable with a strong American leader, who would engage with them in the struggle against Islamic terrorism.

Bernie, of course, you are also risking that if she is elected, you may be blacklisted. And so may these authors. The Clintons, like the Corleone family and the Politburo, never forget their enemies.   But believe us, you will be doing a service to this country.
