The Scientific Seminar on the theme "Eastern Europe: political and military-political aspects of development" was organized in the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION RAS). One of the key directions of the discussion was the research of the strengthening of the NATO military potential in Eastern Europe and the perspectives of this process. The moderator of the seminar was a member of the Russian Pugwash Committee, the head of the Center for Scientific Information Studies of Global and Regional Problems INION RAS, Candidate of Historical sciences Parhalina Tatyana Glebovna.
