On May 20, 2014 the Russian International Affairs Council will hold a presentation "Twenty Proposals for Economic, Scientific and Humanitarian Cooperation" between Russia and China, and the roundtable on the development of interaction between the two states.
Despite the complex international environment, Russia strives to expand partnership with the Asia-Pacific countries, primarily China, with the upcoming President Putin’s visit to Beijing meant to settle a number of overall and specific tasks within the still somewhat contradictory bilateral scope.
What price should China pay for Russian gas? Can Moscow count on Beijing's support in global regulation matters? How can excessive misbalances in the bilateral economic relationship be avoided? These are the questions to be handled by the roundtable with the participation of prominent sinologists and government officials.
The event program includes opening remarks of RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, presentation of the “Twenty Proposals”, roundtable "Closer Political Interaction between Russia and China", and a standup reception.
The presentation will be held on May 20, 2014 at 3 p.m. in Alexander House Business Center at Bolshaya Yakimanka, 1, Moscow.
