On September 10, 2014, RIAC hosted a working meeting "Russia and Asia-Pacific: Conceptual Basics for Security and Development Policy" with participation of Ambassador Gleb Ivashentsov, Director of RIAC project "Russia and Republic of Korea: an Outlook for Bilateral Relations";  Alexey Mastepanov, advisor of Gazprom Deputy Board, Chairman and Professor at Gubkin State Oil and Gas University; RIAC Deputy Program Director Timur Makhmutov; Georgy Toloraya, Director of Regional Projects at Russkiy Mir Foundation, Executive Director of National Committee for BRICS Studies; and RIAC Program Manager Lyudmila Filippova.  

The participants discussed the preliminary work plan and elaborated a number of proposals within the project "Russian-South Korean Relations and Security in Northeast Asia" intended for implementation jointly with the Institute of Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies at Seoul National University.
