On September 28, 2021, Swedish Embassy in Russia hosted a meeting between Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Nikolay Silaev, RIAC Expert, Director of Caucasian Cooperation Nonprofit Partnership, Senior Research Fellow, Center for Studies of Caucasus, MGIMO University; Pavel Felgenhauer, Independent Defense Analyst; and a group of Swedish diplomats headed by Amb. Annika Söder, Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the South Caucasus, former State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

The discussion focused on the following issues: the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, relations between Russia and Georgia in the context of challenges in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and prospects for cooperation between Russia and the European Union in the South Caucasus. The meeting was moderated by Malena Mard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Russian Federation.
