Ninth Meeting of the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security

On June 23–25, 2019, the Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security (YGLN) held its ninth meeting in Berlin, Germany.
The discussion focused on the issues of Euro-Atlantic security: measures to minimize risks and the future of NATO-Russia Council; the future of the OSCE; prospects for resolving regional crises; potential areas of interaction between Russia and the West.
Young experts from Russia, EU, the USA, and Ukraine, as well as representatives of NGOs, think tanks, university and business community took part in the meeting.
In 2014 European Leadership Network (ELN) for Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) non-profit organization, and Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) formed a younger generation expert working group to elaborate steps that can be taken to ensure Euro-Atlantic security. The group brings together young politicians and experts from Russia, CIS countries, the EU, Canada, and the United States.
In 2014–2019 the group met in Sofia, Riga, Sarajevo, Brussels, Helsinki, Warsaw, Minsk, and Berlin.
