High-ranking members of the NSC, the State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Russia as well as the President of the PIR Center Vladimir Orlov and the leading research fellow of the Carnegie Moscow Center Lilia Shevtsova took part in the meeting.

On November 10, 2013 RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and RIAC member Dmitry Trenin held a meeting with Celeste Wallander, Assistant to the U.S. President, Senior Director for Russia and Central Asia at the National Security Council and Michael McFaul, U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation. High-ranking members of the NSC, the State Department and the U.S. Embassy in Russia as well as the President of the PIR Center Vladimir Orlov and the leading research fellow of the Carnegie Moscow Center Lilia Shevtsova took part in the meeting.
The participants exchanged their opinions about the current state and future prospects for the Russian-American relations, the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East and some other regions of the world. Besides, the experts discussed a number of bilateral Russian-American projects including, in particular, the project of the Russian International Affairs Council and the U.S. Atlantic Council aiming at transition from the mutual assured destruction to the mutual assured stability.
