On January 9, 2020, Andrey Kortunov, Director General, Russian International Affairs Council, had a meeting with Margus Laidre, Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Russia.
The following issues were discussed during the meeting: current issues of bilateral relations between Russia and Estonia, possibilities and constraints of interaction between Russia and the European Union as a whole, as well as more general trends in the world’s political agenda. The Estonian diplomat was informed about the Council’s immediate plans regarding security studies in the Baltic region.
