US, Russia and China: Coping with Rogue States and Terrorists Groups

JVLV: VALENTAS VS GEORGE WILL ON DONALD TRUMP, By Jiri and Leni Valenta, 8-20-15

August 20, 2015

As Andrey Kortunov, Director General of RIAC, pointed out, the U.S. 2016 elections are "... not just about Russia, but also about the US role in the world."   The front running candidate for America's Republican Party is multi-billionaire builder, real estate mogul and Reality TV showman, Donald J. Trump.  LIke Ronald Reagan, he appears to be a great communicator.  What we are witnessing in America might also be called "the Trump phenomenon."  Do Russians remember the 1989 "Yeltsin phenomenon?"

Same reasons apply; voter outrage at the systemic mess.  Not surpsingly, the Donald (yes, he is the world's only person often referred to with a "the" before his name), has been attacked by a leading Washington columnist, George Will, America's version of the late Alexander Bovin.

Will's article is, "Trump, a Phony Republican and Vulgar Candidate."  We responded with our own article, "George Will, Wasn't Reagan Like Trump, a "Counterfeit Republican?"   Scroll down to find it.  We thought Russian readers and RIAC contributors would be interested in reading both articles.
