On May 15­–16, Riga hosted annual high-level expert meeting "Riga Dialogue — 2017: Transformation of the Euro-Atlantic Security Landscape".

The event is organized by Latvian Institute of International Affairs in cooperation with a number of Latvian and international partners. The topics discussed include evolution of strategic characteristics in Euro-Atlantic, Russia–NATO relations, nuclear arms problems in Europe, Ukrainian crisis dynamics, etc.

The meeting is attended by over 50 experts, diplomats, legislators and high-ranking officials from a number of European countries. Russia is represented by RIAC members Evgeny Buzhinsky, Chairman of PIR Center, Lieutenant-General (retired), RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov, Artyom Malgin, MGIMO Pro-Rector, Vyacheslav Trubnikov, Member of the board of directors of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMEMO RAN), General of the Army, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, as well as RIAC experts Igor Istomin, Sergey Kulik and Viktoria Panova.
