On September 20, 2017, Anna Kuznetsova, RIAC Program Coordinator, spoke at the 3rd International Seminar on Modern Governance held by the China Institutes of contemporary international relation (CICIR). The seminar takes place in China, Beijing, 19-21 September.

The main theme of the event is devoted to governance of foreign nongovernmental organisations (NGO).

On January 1st, 2017, a new law has come into force in China, tightening control over foreign nongovernmental organisations operating inside the country. The law has drawn much criticism among the international community. This reaction has awoken Chinese interest towards international experience in NGO activities governance. 

The participants from China, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Iran, Egypt etc. shared their experience and spread on the NGO management, legislation, administration, law enforcement in their countries. 

Much attention was paid to the role of foreign NGO in colour revolutions organisation. 

Anna Kuznetsova spoke about international affairs nonprofit organizations, so-called international affairs councils, and noted their incontestable and significant role in promotion of national interests. She paid much attention to the RIAC activities, and its management specifics.
