Oil discussions were a success, as Rosneft and CNPC signed several agreements; including first ever Arctic joint-venture for an Asian country (See: Bloomberg). Alexander Novak, Russia's Energy Minister, said Rosneft will send an extra 2 million tonnes of oil to China along ESPO oil pipeline in 2014, and will gradually increase such shipments to 15 million tonnes by 2018; which is huge news for players involved (See: Interfax).
