On June 26, 2020, YGLN (Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security) held an online meeting of the security working group.

The discussion focused on Euro-Atlantic security issues under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the consequences of the pandemic for various EU countries, Russia, the U.S., and Turkey.

On June 26, 2020, YGLN (Younger Generation Leaders Network on Euro-Atlantic Security) held an online meeting of the security working group.

The discussion focused on Euro-Atlantic security issues under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the consequences of the pandemic for various EU countries, Russia, the U.S., and Turkey.

The online meeting was attended by young experts from Russia, the EU, the USA along with representatives of NGOs, think tanks, university and business community. Natalya Vyakhireva, RIACcProgram Manager, took part in the event.

In 2014 European Leadership Network (ELN) for Multilateral Nuclear Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI) non-profit organization, and Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) formed a younger generation expert working group to elaborate steps that can be taken to ensure Euro-Atlantic security. The group brings together young politicians and experts from Russia, CIS countries, the EU, Canada, and the United States.

In 2014–2019 the meetings were held in Sofia, Riga, Sarajevo, Brussels, Helsinki, Warsaw, Minsk, Berlin, and Moscow. In connection with the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, meetings were shifted to online mode.
