The Journal JEECAR has organized a two-day virtual Conference on Economic Transformations of the Central Asian Region and the Influence of China, Russia, and the U.S. The Conference is administered in cooperation with the Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan, The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), and Webster University in St. Louis, MO, USA. The event will provide an exclusive forum to discuss and explore contemporary thinking of leading academic and business practices related to the economic transformation of economic policies and practitioners in countries of the Central Asian region. We are looking toward theoretically grounded and practice-oriented presentations in Economics, Banking & Finance, Management, Marketing, HRM and O.D., and Foreign Affairs.

To be considered for presentation, all non-previously published manuscripts and/or research proposals must be submitted by September 01, 2021. All presenters and attendees will be awarded a certificate of presentation or attendance.

  • Ambassador George Krol, Professor, U.S. Naval War College, and Associate, Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard University
  • Julian Schuster, President Webster University, St. Louis, MO, USA
  • Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, President and Founder, Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan
  • Tomas Hanson, former U.S. State Department Foreign Service Officer and Diplomat in Residence, the University of Minnesota – Duluth, and Director of The Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Topics to be Discussed:

  • Eurasian economic integration
  • The impact of the global COVID-19 pandemic on the regional economies
  • Conducting business research in and about emerging markets

Individual proposals should consist of a study combined into a 2-page research proposal (see Template), accompanied with 10-12 PPT slides emailed to nmegits@gmail.com.

There will be an opportunity for up to 15 min. presentation plus 5 min. Q&As administered via ZOOM. Future articles would have a chance to be published in the double-blind, peer-reviewed Journal JEECAR (WoS-ESCI and Scopus) issued quarterly.
