On December 14, 2015 Vienna hosted an international conference “Security in Europe – ways out of the crisis. Russia as a potential partner.” The conference was organized by the Eurasian Studies Research Center (EURAS) of the University of Vienna (Universitat Wien) together with the Dr.-Karl-Renner-Institute (Renner Institut).

On December 14, 2015 Vienna hosted an international conference “Security in Europe – ways out of the crisis. Russia as a potential partner.”

The conference was organized by the Eurasian Studies Research Center (EURAS) of the University of Vienna (Universitat Wien) together with the Dr.-Karl-Renner-Institute (Renner Institut).

The conference discussed the current and future relations between the EU and Russia, the prospects and risks associated with establishing a new European security system, the possibility of joint solutions of various aspects of the Ukrainian crisis, of the fight against terrorism and of putting an end to the civil war in Syria.

The conference was attended by RIAC Director General Andrei Kortunov and RIAC expert Sergei Markedonov.
