July 12, 2016, was the final day of the 162nd Bergedorf Round Table held by the German Körber Stiftung and the Russian International Affairs Council with traditional participation of politicians, businesspersons and key experts on foreign affairs from the EU, Russia and the United States. The discussants expressed hope that despite numerous contradictions, Russia and Europe must use every chance for sustaining the dialogue.

July 12, 2016, was the final day of the 162nd Bergedorf Round Table held by the German Körber Stiftung and the Russian International Affairs Council with traditional participation of politicians, businesspersons and key experts on foreign affairs from the EU, Russia and the United States.

The six sessions focused on the origins of the Russia-West crisis seen as the gravest since the end of the Cold War, Russia's and united Europe's vision of their niches in the globalizing world, prospects and scenarios for the Ukraine crisis, as well as its impact on the Russia-EU relations, opportunities for Russia-EU economic cooperation, stabilization of the Greater Middle East, and collective security in Europe. 

The discussants expressed hope that despite numerous contradictions, Russia and Europe must use every chance for sustaining the dialogue.
