On November 24 Institut Francais des Relations Internationals (IFRI) hosted an international seminar “Russia 2016: Return of Great Power Strategy?”. The topics for the discussion covered Russian current foreign policy strategy, reforming Russian power structures, evolution of Russia’s military doctrine, Russia’s tools and channels of foreign policy influence, Western responses to the “Russian challenge”.

About 100 experts, diplomats, journalists, and community leaders form France, other European countries, Russia, and the USA took part in this seminar.

The topics for the discussion covered Russian current foreign policy strategy, reforming Russian power structures, evolution of Russia’s military doctrine, Russia’s tools and channels of foreign policy influence, Western responses to the “Russian challenge”.

Andrey Kortunov, Director General of the Russian International Affairs Council, and Anton Khlopkov, Director, Center for Energy and Security Studies, made reports at the seminar.
