On July 22, 2020, the Emirates Policy Center hosted a webinar "The Fight for Libya", attended by experts and former diplomats from the United States, Great Britain, Turkey, and Russia, as well as by about 80 participants from the Middle East region. The discussion focused on the issues of the role of external players in the Libyan conflict, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the drop in oil prices on the balance of power in and around Libya, possible scenarios for the development of the conflict and the conditions for its termination.
