On February 13, 2020, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, had a meeting with Thomas Greminger, OSCE Secretary General, and with the OSCE Secretariat.

Russian approaches to improving OSCE effectiveness were discussed in the course of the meeting. Particular attention was paid to the possible modernization of the Vienna Document 2011 on confidence- and security-building measures to enhance stability and reduce the risk of military conflicts in the OSCE region.

In addition, the participants discussed OSCE role in stabilizing the situation in the east of Ukraine in the context of the agreements reached at the Normandy Four Summit in December 2019.
