On November 26, 2019, French Embassy in Moscow, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), together with Institut Montaigne (France), held a seminar on the potential of Russia-France cooperation in the Middle East conflict areas.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Michel Duclos, advising Institut Montaigne, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, spoke at the opening of the event.

On November 26, 2019, French Embassy in Moscow, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), together with Institut Montaigne (France), held a seminar on the potential of Russia-France cooperation in the Middle East conflict areas.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, and Michel Duclos, advising Institut Montaigne, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, spoke at the opening of the event.

The parties exchanged views on the situation around Middle East conflicts and on the possibilities of Russia-France interaction. Aidar Aganin, Deputy Director of the Foreign Policy Planning Department at MFA of Russia, Maria Khodynskaya-Golenishcheva, Senior Advisor to the Foreign Policy Planning Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, and Ruslan Mamedov, RIAC Program Coordinator, represented Russia at the event. The French side was represented by Madeleine Courant, Senior Adviser to the Centre for Analysis, Planning and Strategy of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Alixe Gordin-Survenir, Political Officer of the Embassy of France in Russia.

RIAC and Institut Montaigne discussed further development of joint projects and the plans of the two organizations for 2020.
