On May 6, 2025, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Grandview Institution (Beijing, China) organised an expert discussion “Prospects for the development of Sino-Russian relations in the context of Trump 2.0”.

During the event, Russian and Chinese experts discussed the impact of the US administration's foreign policy on both international politics and bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing. The focus was also on international security issues and US trade policy implications for the global economy.

Zhang Tuosheng, Chief Researcher at the Grandview Institution, Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Member, Fan Gaoyue, Senior Research Fellow at the Grandview Institution, Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Head of the School of International Affairs at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at HSE University, Li Nan, Research Fellow at the Institute of American Studies of Chenese Academy of Social Sciences, Vladimir Shcherbunov, Lecturer at the Department of Applied International Analysis of the Faculty of International Relations at MGIMO University took part in the event.

The event was moderated by He An, Secretary General of the Grandview Institution, and Gleb Gryzlov, RIAC Program Coordinator.
