On May 25- 27, 2016 Berlin hosted a Dahrendorf Symposium (Dahrendorf Forum), which traditionally fosters open debate on European and world politics. The project cycle of 2016 has been titled “Europe and the World – Global Insecurity & Power Shifts.”

 

On May 25- 27, 2016 Berlin hosted a Dahrendorf Symposium (Dahrendorf Forum), which traditionally fosters open debate on European and world politics.

The Dahrendorf Forum is a joint initiative by the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, the London School of Economics and Political Science and Stiftung Mercator. The project cycle of 2016 has been titled “Europe and the World – Global Insecurity & Power Shifts.”

The Symposium was attended by over four hundred politicians, experts, journalists, businessmen, civil society leaders and the military, mostly from the EU member countries.

Alexey Gromyko, RIAC member and Director of the RAS Institute of Europe, and Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, took part in the work of the Dahrendorf Symposium and addressed the meeting.
