On September 14, 2018, Russian International Affairs Council organized a round table on “Russia-EU Relations and Policy in Central Asia”. Thomas Mayr-Harting, Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service, and Boris Yaroshevich, Managing Director of the Central Asia Department of the European External Action Service, attended the event.

On September 14, 2018, Russian International Affairs Council organized a round table on “Russia-EU Relations and Policy in Central Asia”. Thomas Mayr-Harting, Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service, and Boris Yaroshevich, Managing Director of the Central Asia Department of the European External Action Service, attended the event.

The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: possibilities for cooperation between Russia and the EU in Central Asia, the EU-EAEU cooperation, the future EU strategy for Central Asia, and the concept of infrastructure connectivity.

RIAC experts and members, as well as representatives of Russia’s MFA took part in the discussion. Ivan Timofeev, RIAC Director of Programs, moderated the round table.
