On May 18, 2021 the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the TRENDS Research and Advisory (UAE) held an open Strategic Talk “Gulf Security Strategic View From UAE and Russian Perspective”.

Key themes of the discussion included the evolution of the Gulf Regional Security Complex, the prevailing security architecture in the Gulf, traditional and non-traditional threats to Gulf security, opportunities for a new security architecture in the Gulf as per viewed from Russian and the UAE.
