On November 29-30, 2017, Rome hosted a forum for European and Mediterranean think tanks under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) with the support of Think Tanks and Civil Society Program, University of Pensilvania.
The heads of over fifty research organizations from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa took part in the work of the Forum “Think Tanks in the Mediterranean. Policy Options to Build a Better Future”.

The heads of over fifty research organizations from Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa took part in the work of the Forum “Think Tanks in the Mediterranean. Policy Options to Build a Better Future”.
The participants discussed the following issues: conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa, Mediterranean region stable development issues, countering international terrorism, and different aspects of cooperation among the think tanks on these topics.
Alexandr Dynkin, President of IMEMO, RAS Full Member, RIAC Member, and Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, represented Russia at the Forum.
