On October 21, RIAC President Igor Ivanov met the new Italian Ambassador to Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini to discuss the development of the Russian-Italian relations, Russia-EU interaction, and current international security issues.

On October 21, RIAC President Igor Ivanov met the new Italian Ambassador to Russia Cesare Maria Ragaglini to discuss the development of the Russian-Italian relations, Russia-EU interaction, and current international security issues.

Special attention was drawn to advancing bilateral inter-parliamentary contacts and the civil society dialog in the context of upcoming Italian presidency of the EU in the second half of 2014. Dr. Ivanov also talked about RIAC’s European projects and plans for cooperation with Italian think tanks.

The meeting was attended by RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and first counselor at the Italian Embassy in Moscow Stefano Ravagnan.
