On March 28, RIAC hosted Head of the Polish Embassy Political Department Maria Domanska who met RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov. The meeting was also attended by RIAC Program Director Timur Makhmutov and Embassy Second Secretary Karol Kumalski. The participants discussed issues of bilateral dialog, possible engagement of government representatives, as well as the expert and academic communities of the two countries.

Most significant for such contacts seems regularity of discussions and feedback in relation to the suggested initiatives. To this end, on April 17 the Embassy of Poland plans to hold international conference “The Visegrad Group States and Russia – Vectors of Cooperation, Chances and Challenges” timed to Poland’s presidency in the Visegrad Group. In this context, the Russian-Polish relationship may provide a positive example for Moscow in development of constructive interaction with other Visegrad countries.
The Embassy members invited RIAC leaders to participate in the conference and confirmed their preparedness to assist advancement of Russian-Polish contacts at the level of foreign policy think tanks.
