RIAC Holds Club Meeting with Former President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai

On 24 June 2015, the Russian International Affairs Council held a club meeting at which former Afghanistan president Hamid Karzai spoke. The event was attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, RIAC members and leading experts on the Middle East. The club meeting was opened by RIAC President Igor Ivanov. In his speech, Hamid Karzai noted the significance for Afghanistan of relations with Russia and commented on the internal situation in Afghanistan and the prospects for the country's development.
