On June 17, 2014, RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev and Program Coordinator Anna Kuznetsova took part in the international workshop “Small and Medium Innovation Enterprises in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Policies and Government Support” held by the Russian Ministry for Economic Development. The agenda included the role of SMEs in the SCO economies, government support and stimulation of innovative activities, as well as opportunities for member-countries to cooperate in this area.

On June 17, 2014, RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeev and Program Coordinator Anna Kuznetsova took part in the international workshop “Small and Medium Innovation Enterprises in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Policies and Government Support” held by the Russian Ministry for Economic Development.
The agenda included the role of SMEs in the SCO economies, government support and stimulation of innovative activities, as well as opportunities for member-countries to cooperate in this area.

Opening remarks were made by Alexey Likhachev, Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Alexander Zuyev, UN Resident Coordinator and the UNDP Resident Representative in Tajikistan, and Pavel Kadochnikov, Pro-Rector on Research at Russian Foreign Trade Academy.

Having shared their experiences in cooperation with innovation firms, support centers and universities, the RIAC representatives also made public RIAC plans on research of the SCO problems.
