On November 22, 2017, Russian Internationa Affairs Council in cooperation with the Embassy of the Estonian Republic in Russia held a seminar «Russia-EU Relations in the Context of Estonia’s Presidency in the EU Council».

On November 22, 2017, Russian International Affairs Council in cooperation with the Embassy of the Estonian Republic in Russia held a seminar «Russia-EU Relations in the Context of Estonia’s Presidency in the EU Council».

The following issues were discussed in the course of the seminar: priority areas of EU policy during Estonia’s Presidency in the EU Council, opportunities for cross-border cooperation between Russia and EU, and Northern Dimension in the EU policy.

The ambassadors of the EU states to Russia; the head of the EU delegation to Russia; representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry for Economic Development of the Russian Federation; experts from MGIMO-University, IMEMO RAS, RAS Institute of Europe, and Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs took part in the meeting.

The seminar on Russia-EU relations was held within the Presidency of a European state in the EU Council. Since 2015 RIAC has held seminars with the Embassies of Latvia, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, and Slovakia.
