On April 17, 2022, Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS) held a meeting dealing with the implications of the crisis around Ukraine on the world order. The participants also touched upon possible RIAC–SIIS cooperation formats.

Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Chen Dongxiao, SIIS President, Yang Jiemian, SIIS President Emeritus, Jiang Lixiao, SIIS Research Fellow, and Ksenia Kuzmina, RIAC Deputy Director of Programs, took part in the meeting.
