On December 21, 2021, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) held a closed workshop on approaches of Russia and the UK in Yemen and Libya. The workshop was organized within the framework of the sixth round of the project “A New Agenda for Russia–UK Relations”.

On December 21, 2021, the Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) with the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) held a closed workshop on approaches of Russia and the UK in Yemen and Libya. The workshop was organized within the framework of the sixth round of the project “A New Agenda for Russia–UK Relations”.

The goals of the meeting were to discuss the interests of Russia and UK in the Middle East and North Africa, and to search for convergence of positions on key issues of the regional agenda. Within the framework of the workshop two sessions were held. The first session was devoted to the prospects for the settlement of the conflict in Yemen. The second one was dedicated to the views of Russia and the UK on the situation in Libya.

Leading Russian and British experts took part at the meeting.
