On August 4, 2022, RIAC together with Oxford Process, a British expert think tank, held the second joint expert round table on the challenges of settling the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Russian and British experts discussed the analytical materials prepared by Oxford Process on issues of territorial integrity.

Experts’ presentations drew upon proven international experience and precedents for resolving territorial disputes in international conflicts.

On August 4, 2022, RIAC together with Oxford Process, a British expert think tank, held the second joint expert round table on the challenges of settling the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Russian and British experts discussed the analytical materials prepared by Oxford Process on issues of territorial integrity.

Experts’ presentations drew upon proven international experience and precedents for resolving territorial disputes in international conflicts.

The following issues of territorial integrity in the conflict between the two countries were discussed: Ukraine's red lines in territorial matters; territorial goals of Russia; the role and the possibility of introducing international administration in disputed territories; the possibility of holding a referendum in the disputed territories and its consequences.

Like the first event, the second expert round table was held behind closed doors. Russian side was represented by experts from think tanks, universities and academic institutions. The discussion was moderated by Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General.
