On December 24, 2013 RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov and the Head of the Oxfam Office in Russia Dmitri Medlev signed an agreement on cooperation between the two organizations. The document suggests execution of joint RIAC and Oxfam projects that would contribute to developing global food agenda, including organization of joint scientific conferences, round tables and other public events. The partner organizations are aiming at contributing to the establishment of a system of sustainable food security and reinforcement of the food agenda in the Russian foreign policy.

The document suggests execution of joint RIAC and Oxfam projects that would contribute to developing global food agenda, including organization of joint scientific conferences, round tables and other public events. Within the framework of RIAC-Oxfam cooperation three joint events were organized: “Impact of climate change on food security”, “Russia’s development assistance in the field of food security”, “Impact of climate change on grain production: economic assessment of potential damage until 2050. Potential risks for national and international food security”. There is the number of joint analytical materials planned to be published in 2014.
