On May 15, 2015, Russian International Affairs Council received a delegation of International Department of China's State Council Information Office and National Publications Import and Export Corporation headed by Director International Department of State Council Information Office Zhang Fuhai.

Opening the meeting, RIAC Director General Andrey Kortunov briefed the participants on RIAC's work on China and shared his plans related to joint projects with Chinese partners. Acting Director of RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies Sergey Luzyanin summed up the conclusions of the first Russian-Chinese academic conference on the roles of the USSR and China in World War II held in Moscow on May 5-6, directing the attention of Chinese guests to international conference "Russia and China: a New Partnership in the Changing World" to be held by RIAC in Moscow on May 29 jointly with the Institute for Far Eastern Studies.

The Russian side was represented by RIAC Program Director Ivan Timofeyev, his deputy Timur Makhmutov, Principal Researcher of the Institute for Far Eastern Studies Vladimir Petrovsky, RIAC Program Manager Lyudmila Filippova and Program Assistant Daria Kholopova.

The sides agreed on key areas for future cooperation and pledged to develop the emerging relationship.
