On June 4, 2015, Russian International Affairs Council received a delegation of the Council on Foreign Relations headed by James Lindsay, the CFR Senior Vice President, Director of Studies and Maurice R. Greenberg Chair. The Russian side was represented by RIAC President Igor Ivanov and Director General Andrey Kortunov, as well as Igor Yurgens, President of Russian Union of Insurers and Board Member at Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, IMEMO Deputy Director Eugeny Gontmacher, and Sergey Kulik, Director for International Development at Institute for Contemporary Development.

The parties focused on Russian-American relations, Ukraine crisis scenarios, the Middle East and other unstable regions.
