On November 13, 2017, the Embassy of New Zealand in Moscow hosted a meeting for Andrey Kortunov, RIAC Director General, Andrey Kolesnikov, Chair of the Russian Domestic Politics and Political Institutions Program at the Carnegie Moscow Center, and Rob Taylor, Head of European Department at New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Christopher J. Weafer, Senior Partner and the founder of Macro-Advisory, a global advisory firm, also took part in the meeting. The following issues were discussed in the course of the meeting: current tendencies of Russia’s economic and socio-political development. prospects for Russia-New Zealand economic and political cooperation, and the opportunities for free trade zone creation between New Zealand and EAEU countries. Ian Hill, Ambassador of New Zealand to Russia, moderated the meeting.
