On May 27, 2022, a presentation of a special issue of the Journal “Maraya International” took place at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS). The issue is devoted to the foreign policy of Russia in modern conditions. It is also devoted to relations between Russia and the countries of the West, as well as relationship between Russia and the Arab East.

The issue is devoted to the foreign policy of Russia in modern conditions. It is also devoted to relations between Russia and the countries of the West, as well as relationship between Russia and the Arab East.

Alikber Alikberov, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS, delivered opening remarks. Vitaly Naumkin, President of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS, RIAC Vice President, made a welcoming video message. In the framework of the presentation, the speeches also were made by Smail Benamara, Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Russian Federation, and Shauki Bou Nassar, Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to the Russian Federation.

The moderator of the discussion was Vasily Kuznetsov, Head of the Center for Arab and Islamic Studies of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the RAS, RIAC member.

Ivan Bocharov, Program Assistant at the RIAC, also attended the meeting.
