RIAC General Director Andrei Kortunov met with officials of Japan’s Foreign Ministry on 30 October.

The meeting dealt with the current situation and the outlook in Russian-Japanese relations, security and development issues in North-East Asia, and the results of the APEC’s Russia Year.

RIAC General Director Andrei Kortunov met with officials of Japan’s Foreign Ministry on 30 October.

The meeting was attended by Deputy General Director Takeshi Hikihara of Japan’s Foreign Ministry European Affairs Bureau, Minister-Counselor Tadaatsu Mohri, chief of the Political Affairs Department, Embassy of Japan to Russia, and Embassy Second Secretary Ippei Tada.

The meeting dealt with the current situation and the outlook in Russian-Japanese relations, security and development issues in North-East Asia, and the results of the APEC’s Russia Year. Andrei Kortunov briefed the Japanese diplomats on progress in the implementation of the RIAC’s project “Russia and Japan: Ways to Settle the Issues in Bilateral Relations”
